In the heart of ancient darkness, where secrets lie unfurled,
Necrons woke from silence in their shadowed tomb world,
Metal warriors emerged with a gleamin' green light,
Marchin' on an Imperial city in the dead of the night.

Brave Imperial Guard stood with rifles in hand,
Defendin' their home, they made their final stand,
Across the dusty streets, the battle drums did sound,
But the Necrons' power brought the city to the ground.

But the Necrons came with a force so cold,

Among the shattered ruins, echoes of despair,
The brave souls of the Guard still lingered in the air,

The sun set on the city, now a tomb of steel and stone,
A silent testament to battles fought and heroes' bones,
Life was driven out, but memories remain,
Of that fateful night old ghosts still feel the pain.

Marines look at what they wrought,
honor the dead the fallen and gone,
never forget how hard they fought.
