Sonic Youth’s legacy can't be overstated. Throughout their decades as a band they connected art and rock in a way that elevated pop music and introduced challenging ideas and artists to rock. On a smaller scale June of 44 served the same purpose connecting hardcore to bands like Tortoise, The Rachel’s, and Codeine from the burgeoning post-rock movement brought on by Touch & Go records. The boys also look at the impact of Ebullition Records and do some John Wiese design appreciation.
