Edgar Berlanga Feels Disrespected Fighting on Undercard After Canelo Loss

In a recent interview with iFLTV, Eddie Berlanga had much to say about his upcoming bout. Rumor has it that he's beefing with Eddie Hearn over fighting on the undercard of Austin Williams vs. Patrice Volny.

After Berlanga's one-sided loss to Canelo, Berlanga went on a world tour with Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, J. Balvin, Maluma & J. Lo. It's safe to say that Edgar was feeling himself.

Now he's back to reality. Edgar's beef with Eddie is that he wanted to headline his fight in Puerto Rico against Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz. Ortiz is from the island, and I believe this would have been a good fight for the natives.

However, they couldn't work things out, so Edgar had to settle for this and was not happy about it. Edgar explained he'll be a free agent after this fight, looking to test the market.

Hopefully, Edgar can deal directly with Turki Alalshikh. Austin Williams vs. Patrice Volny is the headliner. The undercard is as follows:

Jamaine Ortiz vs. Yomar Alamo
Jose Roman vs. Jalil Hackett
Pablo Valdez vs. Mauro Godoy
Carlos De Leon Castro vs. Carl Rogers
Omari Jones vs. Alessio Mastronunzio

I'm looking forward to seeing the rematch between Jalil Hackett and Jose Roman. Roman got the nod via split decision. There are some things Jalil could have done better defensively.

He will make the necessary adjustments and come away with the victory. If Jalil gets him hurt, he must get him out of there. You can't leave it in the hands of the judges.
