Another massive blaze this time in S. Dakota, 37,000 acres has burned

South Dakota: the “Route 13 Fire” burning near Faith, South Dakota is at over 37,000 acres with evacuations in progress. The fire is listed at 30% containment.

"Our South Dakota National Guard and South Dakota Department of Public Safety are working hard to assist in fighting the fires on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.

We sent two Blackhawk helicopters and a wildland fire crew to respond. We will continue to fight the fire and pray for the safety of those who are impacted."
