Several firsts in ICC arrest of Philippines' Duterte, analyst says

A plane carrying former Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte to the International Criminal Court to face charges over his bloody "war on drugs" took off for Rotterdam on Wednesday (March 12). Assistant Professor of International History at Utrecht University, Iva Vukusic, said Duterte could become the first Asian former head of state to go on trial at the ICC in The Hague, and that this could be a first case there dealing with "a situation that is not from sort of war or election-related violence."
