Metal Detecting Finds 150 Year Old LIVE Artillery Shell! Best Dig! From Dirt To Defusing.

On this episode of Depths of History, Britain travels to a site that was fierce with battle and Artillery positions from the Civil War. What resulted from this trip was my best find ever metal detecting. A Civil War Artillery Shell at around the depth of 3 feet! This Artillery projectile also known as a Parrot Shell (20 LBS) was fired out of a cannon that weighed about a ton and was usually fired a mile from its original position. We also found bullets, buttons, and many other fascinating relics. From the dirt to the defusing of this live shell, the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
