Pakistan insurgents hijack train and take hostages

The Baloch Liberation Army attacked a train in southwestern Pakistan on March 11, 2025, blowing up railway tracks and taking passengers hostage. The insurgents demanded the release of political prisoners and threatened to execute the hostages if their demands were not met. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the attack.
