George R.R. Martin Claims He Has to Finish the Books, But Opens a Bar

George R.R. Martin gave his bi-monthly update on his writing process and has come to the conclusion that he needs to finish the books. The release of A Dance With Dragons will be 5,000 days removed on March 20, and later this year will cement a 14 year gap between installments. The Winds of Winter might come out one day, but A Dream of Spring is never, EVER, going to see the light of day.

Martin would much rather work on his numerous film/television projects and now, he is opening a Bar in Santa Fe, New Mexico as yet another distraction to take him away from writing.
