Acting Administrator Cameron Hamilton announced that three more employees have been fired, following the initial termination of Supervisor Marn’i Washington, who ordered relief workers to “avoid homes advertising Trump.”

Congressman James Comer praised the firings, stating: "Political affiliation should never be a factor in distributing taxpayer-funded disaster relief." However, critics argue that FEMA downplayed the issue and only acted after mounting political pressure.

President Donald Trump has denied reports of internal disputes over the investigation, calling any claims of division "fake news." Meanwhile, FEMA has ordered new staff training to ensure political bias never influences disaster response again.
