Shalom, everyone!
The gospel is the best news ever—God loves this world so much that He gave His only Son, Yeshua, to take on our sin-debt and make a way for us to have eternal life (John 3:16). And the best part? Our salvation, our future, and our home in God’s Kingdom are guaranteed through Yeshua (John 14:1–4). As 1 Peter 1:3–4 says, “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade—kept in heaven for you.” That’s powerful!
Lately, there’s been a lot of discussion in Believer circles about how we define the gospel. Is it just about personal salvation—repenting and believing in Yeshua’s sacrifice? Or is it something even bigger—God’s plan to renew and restore everything?
Some say focusing only on personal salvation is too narrow. Others say making it about the renewal of the world is too broad and distracts from Yeshua’s sacrifice. But what if both sides are actually talking about two different but equally biblical ideas?
