Port Arthur Massacre survivor tells his story for the first time - Steven Howard Part 1

Steven Howard, a former employee at the Port Arthur tourist site, experienced a devastating loss and worse still, atrocious mistreatment at the hands of the government and powers that be, in the shooting aftermath. His calls for a Coronial Inquest into the massacre were ignored, his rights trampled on, and his sense of injustice profound.

In this episode, part one of two parts, for the first time, Steven has the opportunity to tell his story. You will hear of his background working at Port Arthur, his experience on that fateful Sunday, and the tragic loss of his young wife, Elizabeth Howard, in The Broad Arrow Cafe.

Next week, in part two of Steven's interview, you will hear of the shooting aftermath, how the government of the day mistreated the people who worked for them and pushed judicial diligence to the side.

There are many other survivors from the Port Arthur Massacre, who lost loved ones, were injured by the gunman, but who have never had their say in court, been interviewed by mainstream media, or had the opportunity to tell their story.
Why? Because their stories don't fit the prescribed narrative.
