Senator John Kennedy appeared on CNN to break down the legal grounds for deporting pro-Hamas activist Mahmoud Khalil.

In the interview, Kennedy made it clear that U.S. law provides a path for removal if there is evidence of support for a designated terrorist organization. Given Khalil’s alleged backing of Hamas, proving his case in court might not be difficult.

“If I were a betting man,” Kennedy remarked, “he’s wishing he scrubbed his social media accounts and whatever else before he was arrested.”
