Mercy Kill | All Odds Were Stacked Against Him | #hunting #deerhunting

My first time doing a mercy kill for an unfortunate buck struck by a car. I wish there was something different that could have been done such as rehabilitation but this guy was definitely on borrowed time. We as hunters don't just take from the land, we protect and restore. This experience hit very different than hunting. They can survive being shot by a bullet or arrow but a 1 ton vehicle going 40-70 MPH - that's bone shattering, organ rupturing force they didn't evolve to endure. Please be mindful and vigilant when driving back roads or at night and respect the crossing of our furry friends.
