The Affair I Never Expected: My Wife’s Secret Lover

I always considered myself a devoted husband. My wife, Clara, was the love of my life. We had our little routines—movie nights, weekend getaways. Everything seemed perfect.

Until I started noticing changes. She came home later, smiled at her phone more often, and seemed… distant. At first, I brushed it off. Maybe work was stressful. Maybe she just needed space.

Then, one evening, she left her laptop open. A message popped up. “I can’t wait to see you again. Last night was incredible.” My heart stopped.

I felt sick. I wanted to confront her, to scream, but instead, I played it smart. I needed proof. Over the next few weeks, I became the perfect husband—attentive, sweet, understanding. She had no idea I was tracking her every move.

Then, one night, she told me she had a “work dinner.” I followed her. She drove across town, parked outside a small café… and there he was. Not a man. A woman. They held hands, laughed, kissed.

I had been ready for betrayal, but not like this.

I went home, sat in the dark, and waited. When she walked in, I simply said, “How was your work dinner?” She froze. The color drained from her face.

Now, she knew. And for the first time, I was in control.
