The 2 sons in Mt21.29 had different responses. One was self confident, I will go. This kind of person talks a good game, but alas their Self Righteousness soon becomes condemnation as they realize that the human race – all – come short, constantly.
There is an alternative to Self Righteousness and Self Condemnation. It's the 2nd son. He had no intention of doing his father's will. But then his mind was changed. Natural power always fizzles out. But this, is spiritual power. It comes out of brokenness. As we wait (QAVAH – 6960) joined to God, twisted together, looking to Him, a Perfect Holy God, broken as you are, yet connected to Him, He gives us a new quality of strength, not our own. Spiritual Power.
