Thousands of people in Australia's Queensland and New South Wales states were without power on Monday (March 10) after Alfred, a downgraded tropical cyclone, continued to bring winds and heavy rains, sparking floods. Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told the Seven Network on Monday that one soldier remained in hospital after two Australian defence force vehicles en route to help residents in the city of Lismore were involved in a road collision that injured several officers on Saturday (March 8).
