"I'm so proud of you": Trudeau’s daughter Ella-Grace offers emotional tribute to father's time as PM

Before taking the stage at the Liberal leadership race event Sunday for his farewell speech, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was introduced on stage by his daughter Ella-Grace – who made a rare public appearance and speech in honour of her father.

Highlighting her dad’s stress leading the country for nearly the last decade, the 16-year-old opened up about struggles of her own, being in the limelight as a young girl, seeing her father on social media day after day.

"I’m looking forward to seeing more of him at home and less of him online,” Ella-Grace joked.

“Dad, I’m so proud of you,” she added, before the two embraced.
