Democrats held a conference call in the days after President Donald Trump's State of the Union address and tried to claim that they are "winning" and have Trump and the GOP "on the ropes" and "on the run." In reality, Democrats not only lost the election badly but are out of power in D.C. and have neither front-runners nor cohesive leadership ahead of the midterms and the 2028 election, and remain abysmally unpopular with voters in nearly every poll.
