The 18th Match of Women’s Premier League 2025 was played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and UP Warriorz Women at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Lucknow on 8th March, 2025. In this match UP Warriorz Women defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru UP Warriorz Women by 12 runs.In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women won the toss and opted to bowl first.
UP Warriorz Women while batting first scored 225 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 226 runs to Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women to win. In reply Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women were all out at 213 runs in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 12 runs.
UP Warriorz Women batted superbly and their openers added 77 runs for the first wicket in 7.1 overs. Grace Harris was first to go run out after scoring 39 runs from 22 balls hitting 7 fours and 1 six. Georgia Voll again top scored with 99 runs not out from 56 balls hitting 17 fours and one six. Deepti Sharma was run out on last ball and contributed one run only.
Kiran Navgire contributed well complied 46 runs from16 balls only hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes. Sophie Ecclestone made 13 runs.UPW scored the highest score 225 runs of the WPL history.
In reply RCBW managed to score 213 runs all out in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 12 runs.Smriti Mandhana was first to go caught by Georgia Voll of the bowling of Chinelle Henry after scoring 4 runs only. Sabbhineni Meghana made 27 runs from 12 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes. Ellsye Perry made 28 runs. Richa Ghosh played a gem of innings and top scored with 69 runs from 33 balls hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes.Sneh Rana tried lately scored 26 runs from 6 balls hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes but could not make it.
Kim Garth remained not out on 3 runs. Georgia Voll was adjudged the Player of the Match. Both these teams have been eliminated from this edition of WPL. DC,MI and GG are in the qualifiers.
