these comments on the video are a great example of how people are incapable of talking to each other anymore. You're either %100 righteous and on their side or you're %100 corrupt and a villain if you say something they disagree with.

She doesn't know what she's talking about. She knows enough to make completely wrong conclusions and interpretations. The datasets what the government would have are not enough to make any large leap of understanding in the AI space as a tool. It's becoming obvious to those in the field that specialization of what the models will focus on is what brings better results than an all encompassing generalized model for use in all tasks. The only thing she's correct on is that we need across the board stronger laws on data privacy than things like HIPAA just for medical records, and that the government is the last place that should have reams of data on American citizens.

Google/Microsoft are the real problems. They are already in people's emails, TVs and phones. The new Android and Apple phones are coming with beefed-up hardware to record phone calls and save them. They are breaking client side encryption. Low power Bluetooth and the "internet of things" (IoT) are spying on everyone through stealth networks. These networks are in cars, appliances, TVs etc. MS is going to take screenshots of desktops every few seconds There is a keylogger in Windows already Our phones, TVs and computers aren't really ours anymore - we share them with big tech/government and they are taking more control but nobody really cares.

We can definitely trust government with AI, I'm sure they'll do just as good a job as they did when verifying the safety of the mRNA covid jabs.

I am a fan of Dr. Naomi. I found it difficult to follow this interview because Steve Bannon, frankly, came across as a grumpy old man who kept interrupting her.

Owned by Government is not sovereign. Stateism is such a cult. We should be building a distributed, sovereign AI owned by the People.

The government still uses many years out of date inferior computers that run on obsolete poorly written software. The government has never had in its employment workers skilled enough to even know how to upgrade the system to something useful. AI is way beyond any government skill set. Government databases on individuals are not secure and cannot be made secure under the present existing inferior hardware and software systems. The American people do not need an AI system operating at any level. As a doctorate in English Literature, she can sound convincing to Steve about a subject neither one of them knows or understands. Secure data on individuals and AI are two very different subjects.

I've been using computers since 91 and my 'opinion' is that computers and most particularly the net are the worst thing that have ever happen to the planet. Not just people. The planet.

I find Naomi's rant on AI to be extremely short-sighted.

"... Owned by our Government" !?!?!?!?!?! Either Naomi didn't mean exactly that, or... Hmmm not sure... Yeah, as someone has stated somewhere below, it seems we can't have a meaningful discussion anymore on anything... Let alone on topics of profundity impactful importance on our society... Sad... P. S. Perhaps a discussion between her and Joe Allen would be helpful, she as layman ordinary person and Joe, as arguably sort of expert... Or similar discussions involving various guests?!?! 🫒🫒🫒 I'm afraid we, as a society, are still blissfully unaware of the paramount importance of this topic and myriad of other closely related ones....
