Security Guard Assaulted After Defending Himself from Stray Dogs in Andheri East; CCTV Footage

Mumbai: A shocking incident was captured on CCTV in Andheri East, where a security guard was brutally assaulted after attempting to defend himself from a pack of stray dogs. The incident occurred at Vastu Riddhi Apartments on March 5 at 11:36 PM.

The footage shows the watchman using a stick to fend off aggressive dogs when a young man, reportedly a dog lover, intervened. Instead of assisting the guard, the man allegedly attacked him, pinning him to the ground while the dogs remained nearby.

Residents who noticed the commotion rushed to the scene, helping the injured guard and trying to disperse the dogs. A video of the bleeding watchman later surfaced on social media, with claims that his injuries resulted from dog bites. However, the footage does not clearly confirm whether the wounds were inflicted by the dogs or during the assault.

Mumbai Police Acknowledge the Incident:
As the video gained traction online, Mumbai Police responded on X (formerly Twitter), urging the victim to file a complaint at the nearest police station. However, no official action has been reported so far.
