RUGBY - History - Growth and Popularity of the Game - Episode 52

The Sports Guyz are joined by Rugby Coach Nick Whitrow to discuss the fantastic sport of Rugby!  We get into Coach Nick's background as a player and coach and then discuss the organization he founded called Rugby XV which was formed to help rugby's growth and popularity in the United States.

The Sports Guyz review the history of the sport which was created in Nick's home country England, and then look at the popularity of the game globally and in the USA.  We go over the "laws" of the sport, the field of play and positions on the team.  Nick and Rob recount stories from their playing days and talk about how rugby is a unique team sport that has a "code" among players that makes them part of a type of fraternity.  We look at international rugby, national teams and collegiate rugby, and then we discuss the game at the youth level, which is where the game is going to grow the most.
