MEGALÓPOLIS (2024) TRÁILER ORIGINAL

After an apocalypse (because really, what else could happen in New York?), an architect decides that rebuilding the city from its ruins sounds like a fun hobby. Why not? Amid the rubble, he dreams of skyscrapers and new avenues, like SimCity, but with more drama.

This ambitious project comes from the legendary Francis Ford Coppola, who apparently wasn’t satisfied with The Godfather and Apocalypse Now and decided to put a sci-fi spin on things. Oh, and it’s been over 13 years since his last movie, because, well, he took his time.

The cast is a parade of Hollywood stars: Adam Driver, our favorite Kylo Ren, Aubrey Plaza, always looking like she’s up to something, Nathalie Emmanuel straight from Westeros, and Shia LaBeouf… well, we know he always brings his special touch. The supporting cast isn’t lacking either: Forrest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, and even Dustin Hoffman join the party. Oh! And let’s not forget Giancarlo Esposito, who will undoubtedly be as enigmatic as ever.

The script, of course, is written by Coppola himself, who not only writes but also produces because when you’re Coppola, you do whatever you want.
