A Criminal's Excuses: Peter Daszak at the Coronavirus Select Subcommittee

Anthony Fauci gave millions to Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance. At least $600,000 was channeled to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China between 2014 and 2019.

Daszak has been accused of having ties to the CIA. He is a zoologist and "public expert on disease ecology" who has conducted gain of function (aka biowarfare) research for many years. This includes close collaborations with Jeremy Farrar, now the Chief Science Officer at World Health Organization.

In 2015, Peter Daszak stated to the National Academy of Sciences that, “…until an infectious disease crisis is very real, present, and at an emergency threshold, it is often largely ignored. To sustain the funding base beyond the crisis, he said, we need to increase public understanding of the need for medical countermeasures (MCMs) such as a pan-influenza or pan-coronavirus vaccine. A key driver is the media, and the economics follow the hype. We need to use that hype to our advantage to get to the real issues. Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of process."

Daszak has been barred from participating in federal procurement programs for five years due to his role at Eco Health Alliance. It seems a very light punishment for such a criminal.
