A Ministry of Intercession (Lk11:1) Lord teach us to pray - P. Adam | GGTX

This was really good, I think you'll be edified watching.

God wants to bring us through the maturity barrier, beyond self, and into intercessory prayer for others.

Luke 11.1 after hearing Him pray, one of the disciples asked Christ, Lord teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples. Then comes the Lord's prayer.

In the tenses and forms of the word prayer, we see 2 aspects which are extremely practical:
- 1st that prayer has to do with who we are. We're made for it. We're made for Him. We're made to (a) be in the Presence of (b) the Perfect One and (c) listen to Him and (d) talk to Him.
Prayer is sensing His heart and mind and discharging His burden to Him. He often won't act unilaterally but waits for us to ask.
- The 2nd, is that not only is prayer who we are (we are men and women of prayer with access in the New Creation), but it's something that becomes a way of life. We continue in it.
Enjoy!!!
