The Narrow Way of Holiness:
We will explore the Scripture readings for the day, the traditional feast days of the saints, and the spiritual themes that guide us on our path to sanctity.

Epistle: Genesis 37:6-22
This passage recounts the story of Joseph, beloved by his father Jacob, yet despised by his brothers. Out of envy, they conspire to kill him but later decide to throw him into a cistern. This foreshadowing of Christ’s Passion reminds us of the hatred and betrayal He endured from His own people.
• Theme: Jealousy and Divine Providence
o Just as Joseph was betrayed yet later exalted, Christ was rejected by His own and crucified, yet He rose in glory.
o We must trust in God’s providence, even when suffering unjust treatment.
Gospel: Matthew 21:33-46
The parable of the wicked husbandmen describes a landowner (God) who entrusts a vineyard (Israel) to tenants (the leaders of the Jews). When the landowner sends his servants (prophets) and finally his son (Jesus), they are rejected and killed.
• Theme: Rejection of Christ & the Call to True Faith
o The Jewish leaders rejected Christ as the cornerstone, but He remains the foundation of salvation.
o We are called to bear good fruit in our spiritual lives and not reject God’s messengers.

Traditional Feast Days – March 7, 2025
1. Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas (Traditional Calendar)
St. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), the Angelic Doctor, was a Dominican priest and theologian who systematized Catholic doctrine through his magnum opus, the Summa Theologica.
• Key Themes:
o Faith and Reason: His works show that faith and reason are not opposed but harmoniously reveal God’s truth.
o The Eucharist: He composed the liturgical hymns for Corpus Christi, expressing profound devotion to the Real Presence.
• Quote: “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.”
Reflection & Application:
Today's readings and feast days urge us to:
1. Trust in God’s plan, even in suffering and betrayal, as Joseph did.
2. Bear spiritual fruit and reject sin, learning from the parable of the vineyard.
3. Seek wisdom and understanding, as St. Thomas Aquinas did, uniting faith and reason.
4. Remain steadfast in trials, following the courage of Sts. Perpetua & Felicity.

Conclusion & Prayer:
Let us close with a traditional prayer:
O Lord, grant us the fortitude of, the wisdom of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the faithfulness to follow Your will, even in suffering. Help us bear spiritual fruit, trusting in Your divine providence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thank you for joining today’s episode. May you walk steadfastly on the narrow way of holiness. Until next time, stay rooted in faith and tradition!
