The REAL REASON Why Canelo Says Tank Davis Should've Been DISQUALIFIED

In a recent interview on Hot 97 FM, Canelo Alvarez, who's considered the real face of boxing, was asked about his thoughts on the Tank Davis vs. Lamont Roach fight. Canelo said Tank's taking a knee after being hit in the right eye should have been ruled a knockdown.

Canelo then states Tank should have been disqualified for his corner wiping his face during the round. Some Tank supporters now feel Canelo is a hater for speaking the truth.

Every podcast that speaks on this subject matter says the same thing.

Smith of ESPN, the Hip Hop Podcast, Retired and active fighters, retired commissioners, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated, the BBC, Marca, Seconds Out, ProBox, talkSPORT, and others are all saying the same thing.

If you feel it's not a big deal for a fighter to take a knee after somebody lands a punch. The referee counts it as a knockdown. Starts the count after instructing the opponent to go to a neutral corner.

Allowing a fighter's trainer to wipe his face in the middle of the round. Disregarding the count after the fighter took a knee. Not disqualifying the fighter after getting his face whipped by his trainer in the corner during an active round.
