3. **Heat the Oil:** In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small portion of the batter into the oil; if it rises to the surface promptly, the oil is ready for frying.
4. **Fry the Pakoras:** Carefully drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until the pakoras turn golden brown and crispy. Remove them using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
5. **Serve:** Enjoy the crispy onion pakoras hot, accompanied by your favorite chutney or sauce.
