I'm an insurance agent and people don't realize how much the high cost of lumber affects insurance premiums... the extremely high cost of building materials is "one" reason " among many... WHY everyone's insurance premiums have increased so much!! (Dem stupidity can be blamed)!! The stupidity of California is another major reason. So much of the devastation out there will cause rates to go up too. These insurance companies that were impacted by the sheer number of claims that were filed, will force them to raise rates once again to try to recuperate the BILLIONS of dollars in damages they have to pay out.
