Professor Bhattacharya has just been confirmed as Director of National Institutes of Health in the USA. This is quite a turn of events given that the prior NIH Director called Prof Bhattacharya a "fringe epidemiologist" and demanded a "public takedown" of the scientific premises of the Great Barrington Declaration that he co-authored with two equally eminent and ethical infectious disease epidemiologists!
