Scott Jennings: ‘I Don’t Know Who the Leader of the Democratic Party Is, but I Know Who Runs It — Donald Trump’

JENNINGS: “Walz has no idea what happened last night because he has always been and remains in over his head. He’s a fringe partisan. He sees the world through the tired old politics that failed last year. This class warfare message, it doesn’t work. Look what happened in the speech. 74 percent of Americans said it was presidential, 74 percent entertaining, 71 percent inspiring, 62 percent unifying — (crosstalk)”

HUNT: “[inaudible] who watched the speech.”

JENNINGS: “— 46 percent said divisive, which was how the Democrats want to describe it. They don’t know what happened last night.”

HUNT: “That’s going to be skewed, though, right? Because it’s people that watched the speech. So that’s going to be more Republican.”

JENNINGS: “OK.”

HUNT: “I’m not saying, our 80 percent number that we showed, David talked about it last night, it’s about 14 percent more Republican than usual, so that still puts it at a big disapprove number. But I just want to caveat what you’re saying. Continue.”

JENNINGS: “Listen, the reality is Donald Trump had a perfectly good night because he articulates issues that the vast majority of the American people are basically in alignment with. And the Democrats had a terrible night because they acted like children, just like Fetterman said. It was interesting to see Walz attack Fetterman, the 2028 Democratic primary for president is obviously on. And if that’s the best, and if that’s the best they have to offer —“

HUNT: “Look at you, Scott Jennings.”

JENNINGS: “— I mean, look, who are — I don’t know who — I don’t know who the leader of the Democratic Party is, but I know who runs it. Donald Trump. He runs both parties.”
