For Day 64 of our "Bible in a Year" playlist, we begin the book of Joshua with chapters 1-3. As Israel transitions to new leadership under Joshua, God calls him to be strong and courageous, reaffirming the promise of the land. The crossing of the Jordan River marks a bold first step into the fulfillment of that promise, setting the stage for God’s faithfulness to unfold.

Questions:
1. God repeatedly tells Joshua to “be strong and courageous” in chapter 1—what do you think gives us that kind of strength when stepping into the unknown?

2. How does Rahab’s role in chapter 2 show that God’s plans can include unexpected people, and what might that mean for us today?

3. The crossing of the Jordan in chapter 3 mirrors the Red Sea—what does this event teach us about trusting God’s power in moments of transition?
