Houston Police Shoot Armed Robbery Suspect After Exchange of Gunfire

On February 02, 2025, at approximately 0300 hours, HPD officers responded to an aggravated robbery call at 9232 Richmond. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male stole a vehicle from a female victim at gunpoint. Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect then committed aggravated robbery at a convenience store nearby.

HPD officers located the stolen vehicle driving into an apartment complex at 8630 Easton Commons Drive. The suspect got out of the vehicle and ran away from officers. He discharged a firearm at officers multiple times.

The suspect did not obey verbal commands to drop his weapon and officers returned fire, striking the suspect. No officers were injured. Officers rendered aid until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the suspect to an area hospital.
