‘The days of rule by unelected bureaucrats are over’: Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump says the American people have given his administration a mandate for “bold and profound change”.

US President Donald Trump is addressing Congress for the first time since taking the White House to push his hard-line stance on mass deportations of illegal migrants, with the families of violent crime victims in attendance.

“Any federal bureacrat who resists this change will be removed from office immediately,” Mr Trump said.

“We are draining the swamp, it’s very simple, and the days of rule by unelected bureaucrats are over.”
