The 1 Time God Rested—And Why It Was Enough

Did you know that God has only rested once? And that one time was enough?
Genesis 2:2 says, “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”
That’s it. One time. After creation. But ever since then, He hasn’t stopped working.

Jesus made this clear in John 5:17 when He said, “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
The Jews were upset because Jesus healed on the Sabbath. But He was doing what God always does—working, sustaining, giving life.
