Could Americans run short of toilet paper with tariffs on Canadian goods set to go ahead?

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Monday that a 25 per cent tariff will indeed be levied on many goods entering the U.S. One of the many sectors bracing for the impact is Quebec’s wood industry. According to the Quebec Forest Industry Council, the U.S. (extra space) imports about 30 per cent of Quebec’s lumber.
Experts say the impact of these tariffs would also be felt by American consumers, with a spike in prices on some basic goods, such as toilet paper. Global’s Dan Spector reports.
