Episode 2973: Renewing Our Hearts - Morning Episode
Day 1:
O Jesus, who in Thy bitter Passion didst become "the most abject of men, a man of sorrows," I venerate Thy Sacred Face, whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead; but now it has become for me as if it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured features, I recognize Thy infinite love, and I am consumed with the desire to love Thee and make Thee loved by all men. The tears that streamed abundantly from Thine eyes appear to me as so many precious pearls that I love to gather up in order to purchase souls of poor sinners by means of their infinite value. O Jesus, whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore Thee to fix deep within me Thy divine image and to set me on fire with Thy love, that I may be found worthy to come to the contemplation of Thy glorious Face in Heaven. Amen.
Prayer: I firmly believe that Thou art here present, O my adorable Jesus, as really and as truly as Thou wert in Thine earthly life, with Thy most holy humanity and Thy divinity. I adore Thee profoundly in union with the angelic praises; I offer Thee the homage of all the beings who are in Heaven, of all the just who are on earth, and of all the faithful souls who are in this chapel. I consecrate to Thee all the powers of my soul. I invoke the Holy Spirit, that He may enlighten me in order to know what would be most pleasing to Thee; and I beg Him to give me His grace and to dispositions to accomplish it faithfully.
Golden Arrow Prayer:
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored, and glorified in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Renewing Our Hearts
Today, the Church calls us to perseverance, humility, and deeper trust in God's providence.
Let us open our hearts to God's word as we prepare to enter more fully into this penitential season.

Scripture Readings from the 1946 St. Andrew’s Missal
Epistle: Isaiah 55:6-11
"Seek ye the Lord, while He may be found: call upon Him, while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him: and to our God, for He is bountiful to forgive."
🔹 Reflection:
This passage is a beautiful invitation to repentance. During Lent, we are reminded that God’s mercy is always available, but we must seek Him with sincerity. Many live as though they have endless time to turn back to God, but Scripture warns us: “Now is the acceptable time” (2 Corinthians 6:2). We must respond immediately to God’s call for conversion.

Gospel: Matthew 21:10-17
"It is written: My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves."
🔹 Reflection:
In today’s Gospel, Our Lord cleanses the Temple, casting out the money changers who desecrate His Father’s house. This reminds us of two important truths:
1. Our Souls Are the Temples of the Holy Ghost – Just as Christ purified the physical Temple, we must purify our souls of sin, making them worthy dwelling places for God.
2. Reverence for Sacred Things – We must honor and respect the Church as the House of God, avoiding any distractions that lead us away from true worship.
Lent is the perfect time to examine our interior life and ask: Have I allowed sin and worldly attachments to take up space in my heart where only Christ should reign?

Traditional Saints and Historical Feast Days – March 4
📜 St. Casimir of Poland (1458-1484)
• St. Casimir was a prince who renounced earthly wealth and power to embrace a life of humility, chastity, and deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
• He is a model of detachment and holiness, showing us that worldly riches are fleeting, but a heart given entirely to God will last for eternity.
• He is particularly known for his devotion to Our Lady, and it is said he often prayed the hymn "Omni Die Dic Mariae" ("Daily, Daily, Sing to Mary").
🕊️ Reflection on St. Casimir
His life calls us to ask: Are we clinging to worldly comforts or surrendering everything to God? In this Lenten season, let us imitate St. Casimir’s spirit of detachment and devotion to Our Lady, trusting that she will lead us ever closer to her Son.

Themes of the Day: Purification and Detachment
1. The Call to Repentance – Lent is a time to return to God with sincerity, as Isaiah urges.
2. Purification of the Soul – Just as Christ cleansed the Temple, we must rid ourselves of all that separates us from God.
3. Detachment from the World – St. Casimir teaches us that true wealth lies not in riches but in a pure heart devoted to God.

Quotes for Reflection
• "True holiness consists in loving God above all things, and renouncing everything that displeases Him." – St. Casimir
• "If you do not learn to deny yourself, you can never learn to love Christ." – St. John of the Cross
• "Lent is a time for cleaning—not just our homes, but our hearts." – Traditional Catholic Saying

Conclusionary Prayer
"O merciful Lord, cleanse our hearts as You cleansed the Temple, that we may be made worthy to receive You. Through the intercession of St. Casimir, grant us the grace of detachment, humility, and an ever-deepening love for You. May this Lenten season transform us, so that we may seek You with all our hearts and prepare our souls for the joy of Easter. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen."
Thank you for joining us in today’s reflection. May Our Lady guide you closer to her Son during this holy season.
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."
