Suno - Your Tool

This song is more or less where I began tightening the reins on Suno's misbehaving AI; I also took to dividing every verse from every other with a chorus or bridge or the like (where the lyric-writing AI's default tendency was to do two verses and a chorus, then two more and a chorus, occasionally replacing a verse with a bridge to help add a little variety). I also insisted on doing a thorough edit to ensure the lyrics made sense; while the lyric-writing AI's products can sometimes seem remarkably inspired (as they did in e.g. "Lose The Morning Light" which I gave that title based on one of those poetically clever lines the AI gave me in the chorus), at other times they can be downright nonsensical (as in e.g. "Fightin' On The Street" where one line I later corrected in post-production originally claimed that "Heavy boots make traffic slow" which... um... no, they typically don't). As for the subject of this song, it's fairly simple: this is my take on the "nice guy" who's always the friend—and never the boyfriend—of all those pretty girls who go chasing after the bad boys and then come crying on his shoulder when those guys inevitably dump them after abusing and/or exploiting them; which is no excuse for him to be a bad boy and start taking advantage of those girls himself (as acknowledged here), but has him (and yours truly) vexed almost to limit of endurance while thinking "Seriously, girls: stop DOING that!"

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Girls, you call me every night,
Cry no one treats you right.
The friend you tell about your plight,
But never the one to hold you tight.

[Chorus]
If I were your tool, you'd be
Here throwing yourselves at me.
If I gave up decency,
You'd all take turns riding me!

[Verse 2]
See you go from jerk to fool,
Players; boys who treat you cruel.
I stay home, try to keep my cool,
And I think: what if I were a tool?

[Chorus]
If I were your tool, you'd be
Here throwing yourselves at me.
If I gave up decency,
You'd impale yourselves on me!

[Verse 3]
Want disgusting things from you;
Dangerous, and filthy too.
You say: what else can you do?
Where have all the good men gone? Boo hoo!

[Chorus]
If I were your tool, you'd be
Here throwing yourselves at me.
If I gave up decency,
You'd all go to town on me!

[Verse 4]
Bought you coffee, heard your tale;
He broke your heart: now you wail.
Trade of sex for love? No sale!
While you're weeping, I'm in friend zone jail.

[Bridge]
Sometimes wish I could be so bad:
Make you want me; drive you mad!
Yet I'm too kind; girls, ain't that sad?
I'm the boyfriend you've never had.

[Instrumental]

[Chorus]
If I were your tool, you'd be
Here throwing yourselves at me.
If I gave up decency,
You'd all want babies with me!

[Crowd stands up and cheers; evidently, this was a live performance.]
