The Race of Endurance
18
The main theme of Hebrews 12 is endurance. The author takes us on a very specific journey beginning with whose watching us run this race of faith. He then moves into the marks of Sonship is the discipline we receive. Sometimes its a time for maturity lesson and others its an area that we need to grow into. He then challenges us to renew our spiritual vitality and being vigilant about our walk with the Lord. Then comes the warning that if we do not guard our spiritual vitality then we run the risk of a root of bitterness moving in. He reminds us that there are many who have finished the race but there is one great victor which is our Lord. This is a great study for any student of the word
