A huge Wildfire in Myrtle Beach has burned roughly 1,200 acres as efforts by state agencies and National Guard troops to contain the blaze are underway.

At least 11 neighborhoods in the area are being evacuated, and the Governor has declared a state of emergency.

Republican South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced on X that he declared a state of emergency on Sunday.
