Old dog rescued after a lifetime of pain realizes he's loved now..

13-year-old "Twister" was a street dog in Mexico, hit by a car as a puppy.The pain must have been excruciating. His left leg healed on its own but in a tangled mess. This poor boy suffered for his whole lifetime. He cannot run, he can barely walk. He was used as a prop by illegals crossing our border then abandoned in the desert once he was of no use to them. Starving and dehydrated in the desert, a kind Border Patrol officer rescued him. When Leo heard about Twister's plight he arranged his transport to the sanctuary.

Twister is happy in his own yard now, and on meds for pain. He even tries to jump up to get his jerky treats but his twisted leg won't let him!
