Conspiracy of Silence is a 56-minute documentary produced by Yorkshire Television for the Discovery Channel back in 1993, but it never aired.

It covers a disturbing child trafficking ring involving politicians allegedly abusing kids from orphanages like Boystown.

Given the powerful figures involved, I'll stress these remain allegations. The courts certainly treated them that way—victim Alisha Owens received 9 years in prison for "perjury" after reporting her (alleged) abusers.

With everything we've learned from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, this documentary feels more relevant than ever.

Interestingly, the film got canceled at the last minute, reportedly because politicians stepped in and reimbursed Discovery Channel's production costs. Still, one slightly unfinished copy managed to leak out.

Director Tim Tate recently spoke about it on private investigator Ed Opperman's podcast. Pretty chilling stuff—witnesses either fled the state or died suddenly. C'est la vie, I guess.

Senator John DeCamp also wrote a book on the whole thing called "The Franklin Coverup."
