Episode 12 of Deck Profiles: BRS - PRE will be about Dusknoir.

Dusknoir is a card that, since its release has been shrouded (pun intended) in mystery. Generally, people didn't know what to make of it. It is a Stage 2...that knocks itself out. That seems like a lot of investment just to lose it. And so, this card immediately got broken and cheese ensued.

Dusknoir has been the subject of controversy since the archetype has existed in the Standard format. Alongside meta decks such as Palkia vstar and Charizard ex, it has taken up a healthy share of decks in day 1 and day 2 regionals alike. People have called for the card to be banned! This has led to a lot of tension in the Pokemon Trading Card Game competitive community. Hopefully this video can shed a lot of light on the card and why the hype around it should settle.

Dusknoir is a combo piece for combo decks that want to take decisive leads. It's not some checkmate card that lets you take 6 prizes in one turn. Dusknoir should be treated as a combo card. Fezandipiti ex, a card printed alongside it in Shrouded Fable, balances the presence of Dusknoir. This is because it allows for comebacks even when your opponent has opted for a checkmate style of Dusknoir. So I hope that helps.
