3,000 Troops, 20 Ton Combat Vehicles Sent To Southern Border By Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered an additional 3,000 troops and 20-ton combat vehicles to the Southern Border to help keep illegal migrants and drugs from coming into the country.
The troops will help beef up security efforts and join the more than 4,000 active-duty troops already stationed there – bringing the total to nearly 5,500 active-duty service members.
U.S. Northern Command said that,

“The DOD continues to work with the Department of Homeland Security to fill critical capabilities gaps at the southern border in accordance with President Trump’s Executive Order, ‘Protecting the American People Against Invasion,'"

President Donald Trump has designated Mexican drug cartels and gangs – including Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa Cartel and MS-13, as foreign terrorist organizations.

The move allows the U.S. military to take a bigger role in targeting and taking down the cartels including – according to reports – utilizing drones in Mexico to target and eliminate the enemy.
