Ashes & Shimmer

Thunder rolls through the city tonight,
Smoke in my lungs, but I still ignite.
Running from ghosts, chasing the past,
Tell me how long broken hearts can last.

Bridges burn and towers fall,
Echoes whisper through it all.
Lightning strikes, the sky turns red,
Who will rise and who is dead?

We are the ashes, we are the storm,
Torn apart, but still we’re born.
Lost in shimmer, lost in flame,
Who will remember our names?

Wires and whispers tangled inside,
Madness and genius, no place to hide.
The ones we love, the ones we hate,
Are just reflections—too late, too late.

Bridges burn and towers fall,
Echoes whisper through it all.
Lightning strikes, the sky turns red,
Who will rise and who is dead?

We are the ashes, we are the storm,
Torn apart, but still we’re born.
Lost in shimmer, lost in flame,
Who will remember our names?

Ticking clocks, a shattered mind,
Lines once drawn now left behind.
If this is fate, if this is war,
Then I don’t know what I’m fighting for.

We are the ashes, we are the storm,
Torn apart, but still we’re born.
Lost in shimmer, lost in flame,
Who will remember our names?
