Joy Behar: "I'm Starting to Warm Up to Trump" | The View (Oct 21, 2015)
Joy Behar surprises her co-hosts on The View by admitting she's "starting to warm up to Trump." While clarifying she won't vote for him and doesn't support his controversial rhetoric, Behar points out Trump's progressive stances on healthcare, taxes, and abortion compared to other Republicans. She also highlights Trump's early opposition to the Iraq War and his eerie prediction of the Twin Towers attack in his 2000 book, "The America We Deserve."

Joy Behar: You know, I'm starting to warm up to Trump a little bit now. Wait, wait, what? Yes. I'm not gonna, I'm not. Wait a second, hold on. I'm not voting for him. And I don't like the race baiting. Let's get that out of the way. And he'll never replace my arousal feelings for Bernie. But, but the guy is not as bad as the rest of them.
First of all, he may not be pro choice, but Rubio, for example, believes no abortion, even in the cases of rape and incest. Trump doesn't say that. Trump does not say that.
He believes in single payer. He wants everybody to have health care from the government. That's. He agrees with Bernie. He wants to raise taxes on the rich. He believes in Bernie. I mean, I looked this up, I couldn't believe it, you know, but.
And he was against the Iraq war and he said so in one of his books before 9/11 even happened. So he was like Nostra Trumpis, you know what I'm saying? He said in that book that he's not as bad as the rest of them on that team.
There's sothing wrong with someone that is so brass with their words running America. There's something wrong with that. The rest of them don't agree with his anti immigration plan. They all agree with that. He's the only one who just says these horrible things.
Yeah, the majority of Republicans, they think he's a strong leader, but he lacks honesty and trustworthiness.
But I want to go back to that book you mentioned. It was called The America We Deserve. And he didn't just predict, he said it was inevitable that the world, that the Twin Towers were going to be attacked. He wrote about this 19 months before it happened. He said they were vulnerable. And he did this when he was considering a presidential bid for the Reform Party ticket. He even mentions Osama bin Laden in the book.
