Ubisoft Sends Cease & Desist to Smash JT Instead of the Real Troll!

Apparently, Ubisoft's legal team has a new strategy: chase the victims, not the villains! 🙄 Smash JT just received a cease and desist letter because he was tricked by a troll impersonating a Ubisoft employee. Yes, you heard that right. Instead of going after the actual identity thief, Ubisoft decided Smash JT was the real threat.

So, here's the breakdown: a troll named McDizzle impersonates a Ubisoft employee, feeds Smash JT fake info about Assassin's Creed Shadows, and then Ubisoft's lawyers decide to target the guy who got duped. Genius! 🤯 They're demanding Smash JT remove any mention of the employee's name, even though he was just trying to clear his own name.

Smash JT, being the reasonable guy he is, edited the video. But he also sent a sassy response, asking if Ubisoft plans to go after the actual troll who committed identity theft. Spoiler alert: they're probably not.

It seems Ubisoft's priorities are less about justice and more about damage control. By going after Smash JT, they're sending a clear message: don't get tricked by trolls, or we'll sue YOU! 🤣

Is Ubisoft's legal department on a coffee break? Or are they just terrified of bad press? Let us know what you think in the comments!
