How to Unlock It
You don’t get instant access. To enter, you need to:
Reach Union Level 30, which requires a decent amount of progression.
Complete the prologue of Chapter II in the main story quest, Through the Sea Thou Break. This takes you to Ragunna City in Rinascita, where the mode is tied to a side quest of the same name. You’ll meet a character called the "Ebony Gatekeeper" (also known as "Cosmos") who guides you into the Somnoire, a dreamscape setting.
How It Works
The mode involves navigating 13 Memory Zones per run:
Each zone pits you against enemies, and clearing them earns you Metaphors (buffs) to boost your Resonators (characters) and Dream Fragments (currency).
Memory Zones 6 and 12 are rest stops where you can trade Dream Fragments for more Metaphors.
Memory Zones 7 and 13 are boss fights. After beating these, you can spend Waveplates (60 for standard rewards, 120 for double) to claim extra loot from Remnant Crystals.
Metaphors here are simpler than in Depths of Illusive Realm—think straightforward boosts to attack, crit, or specific skills, plus some "Dreamscape Power" buffs that enhance the Lucid Dream mechanic. Lucid Dream is a temporary super-state you activate by dealing damage, lasting 10 seconds with effects that vary weekly.
You pick a team of up to 3 Resonators. Each week, certain Dreamscape Aid Resonators (e.g., Phoebe, Jinhsi, or Verina in early cycles) give a 150% boost to Illusive Points if used.
The difficulty scales with your SOL3 Phase (world level), and you can replay it as much as you want for Waveplate rewards, though the main rewards reset weekly.
Rewards
Illusive Points: Earned by clearing zones, with a weekly cap of 6,000. You can hit this in one solid run on higher difficulties, especially with Aid Resonators. At 6,000 points, you get up to 160 Astrite (enough for one pull on a banner) plus other goodies.
Waveplate Rewards: From boss zones, you can claim stuff like Unborn Echoes (random Echoes of your chosen type), Premium Sealed Tubes, Premium Tuners, and Shell Credits. These are similar to Tacet Field drops but take longer to farm (10-15 minutes vs. 2 minutes).
It’s a decent alternative for Echo XP and Tuners if you’re swimming in unused Echoes, though some players note the Echo drop rate feels lower than Tacet Fields.
