VHS Rentals and TV Syndication have helped propel this movie to larger audiences and into cult status. It really is a great movie of the fantasy adventure genre, with Sci-Fi elements. Sadly the sequels fall way short of the standard the original set. Therefore, there can be only one. The movie’s popularity on the home movie market would lead to a series of extremely horrific sequels and a popular show in the syndication market titled HIGHLANDER but starring Adrian Paul as Duncan Macleod. The movie sequels are so bad that they all don’t deserve a review but know HIGHLANDER 2 is considered one of the worst movies of all time and popularized the so called Directors Cut in home movie markets. By the time Adrian Paul was leading the HIGHLANDER films, HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE was now straight to video trash and in my opinion worse than HIGHLANDER 2.
