Chris Rock has Always Been Savage

Chris Rock lobbed a softball about Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars, and Will Smith lost his mind.

Why?

Probably a combination of insecurities about his marriage and masculinity.

Thing is, Rock has hosted awards shows, and shredded the attendees.

His take on Good Charlotte at the 2003 MTV Video Awards always stuck with me.

It was brilliant, brutal, and, yes, honest.

Good Charlotte finished tearing through their generic hit, ‘Anthem,’ and then put on the worst attempt at wannabe cool rock star by trashing the stage.

“We’re so cool” was probably echoing through all their minds…

And then the cameras cut to Rock.

In two sentences, he eviscerated them.

Seriously, Green Day is still going strong, having just toured baseball stadiums in 2024.

Good Charlotte?

I don’t even know if they’re still together.

Anyway, as the kids say, “sick burn.”
